Update: Situation in the Middle East and Supply Chain Status

As the conflict in the Middle East continues, we would like to keep you informed about what this means for your supply chain and outline concrete measures we are taking to protect your business. We are continuing to strengthen our stock positions for finished goods as well as raw materials across the board, even as market pricing shifts upward. Supply security is our main priority.

As early as March 5, parts of our supply chains, including oil refineries and later yarn and nitrile producers, have enacted force majeure – realizing they would not be fully able to meet all their customers’ orders. We acted swiftly to expand our material sourcing efforts with good results. At present, we do not see any products with limited availability based on the Middle East conflict, but we are conscious the situation remains precarious.

If your business requires higher quantities than usual during this period, please reach out to us. We have secured stock and are ready to support you. At the same time, we kindly ask you to order in line with your actual needs. To ensure fair availability for everyone, we are actively monitoring order patterns and will step in, where we see unusual accumulation of stock.

On the logistical side, we are seeing a 16-28% increase in inbound freight costs, depending on route and carrier. Leadtime for shipments from Asia have started to increase slightly. We will continue to monitor this situation to identify any necessary next steps.

We remain fully committed to being a reliable partner for you. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your contact at Dastex Group.
